Come what may and love it

So in the past two weeks I came across this talk by Joseph B. Wirthlin and have probably watched it twenty times since. I just love this talk and I think it is what we could all use in our crazy lives. I am always looking toward the future saying "oh when parker is done with school our life will be great", "When we get to settle down I will be better mother, wife, member.....", "Once parker has a good job and we have a house I will be able to do this and that". Truth is I know I can't just be looking forward. We only get to be twenty once, have the joy of toddlers for a few years, and enjoy the youthful years of parents before our lives get even more crazy. I love this talk because when I think of those words "Come what may and love it" that means today. Be happy for today. Be happy that I get to stay home with my sweet loving son and to have that special time with him. Be happy that although I don't see my husband that much he is sacrificing and working hard for our family. I have decided that I am going to make "Come what may and love it" my everyday motto, so hopefully I can truly be grateful for what I have and love it. I love this video and its very special to me so I hope you take the time to watch it!

You will have to turn the music off on our vacation slide. I cant figure out how to get it off.

12 Days till Vacation!!!

We are so lucky that we are able to go on a vacation thanks to Kellie and Dan. In 12 days we are packing up to go to San Diego!! We are so grateful that Kellie and Dan invited us to go with them and to make it affordable!!!Parker and I never went on a honeymoon let alone go anywhere on vacation together! We are so excited to go without Mason, although its going to be really hard to leave him. We will miss him so much but we deserve to get away for a little while. We don't know much what we are doing besides staying in Vegas for two nights and going to Sea World and hopefully some shopping! I will definately have a post though with the pictures! I cant wait and its less than 2 weeks away!!

Christmas!!

Christmas Eve and morning we were at the Davis's house. It was really weird because it was my first Christmas not at home, but it was still a blast. Although Parker and I failed in the dessert we made we stayed up late snacking and watching youtube videos. It was fun watching the kids and Mason open up their presents on Christmas morning. I never thought Christmas would be as fun once you grew up, but I think being able to watch the excitement on your children's face is the best part of Christmas. Parker's family also goes to a movie on Christmas so we went to the Tale of Desperaux. It was ok, considering I was so tired I was dozing off in the movie. So these pictures are Christmas morning.
Wake up its Christmas!

So Christmas night we went over to my parents for the annual prime rib dinner and oh was it good. It is the best dinner of the entire year (completely wins over Thanksgiving) My dad works really hard to make his prime rib magnificent!! We love it. Unfortunately the whole family couldn't make it and it was just my parents, Craig and Trish, and us. (We did have more prime rib for ourselves though!) After Mason, Ethan, and Kamryn opened presents from Grandma and Grandpa. They gave Mason a learning table. Its so cute every corner has something to play with. There is a piano, laptop, phone, and book. He loves it and hopefully will learn lots from it.

Temple Square with the Fam!

Sorry this is so late but I haven't been home for a couple of weeks. It was my families turn to be with our "in-laws" for Christmas so we decided to get together the weekend before to exchange presents with the cousins and see temple square. It was a lot of fun, but cold!

Fun weeked with the Anderson Family

We had lots of fun this weekend when Craig and Trisha were down. Craig had to come down for business so Trish and I hung out while are husbands were at work. They decided to stay a couple days longer at our house to hang out. Friday we took the kids to this fun park. We played with this toy that would spin you around so fast till you were dizzy, and then you had to get off and try to not fall. It was so hilarious I wish we had a video camera, I just about ran into the fence.

The next day we went to Snow Canyon, on a little hike that had some caves in the ground. Once we got to the caves Trish and I stayed back with the kids while Craig and Parker went exploring. It didn't take too long because the cave was pretty short.

How precious is this picture!

He was ready to get out and play. Isn't he so cute!

We also had fun going out to eat at the Pizza Factory. After we drove to the temple to look at the Christmas lights then headed out for icecream!
Thanks Craig and Trisha for the great weekend!

Oh Ya, it snowed in St. George last night!

The Joys of Toddlerhood!!

I can't believe how big Mason is getting. Everyday he is learning something new, and usually it's something Mom and Dad don't want him to know!! He is so crazy right now, but so funny at the same time. Most of the time he is just out of control. His favorite things to do right now is to turn off the tv when we are watching it and run right away. It's like he knows he is going to get in trouble so he just books it down the hall. He also has been into climbing on top of the dinner table! It's frustrating because I don't want him to get hurt, but he just thinks its funny. He is getting smarter though, the other day he wanted something on the kitchen counter so he pushed a chair over to the counter so he could climb up the chair to reach what he wanted! He is just getting such a handful! I am worried about him though cause he is always unplugging outlets. And right now its the christmas tree lights. Whats even more scary is he tries to put it back in! Anyone have any advice? I keep all outlets I can out of reach, but some I just cant hide!!Well he is tougher than he ever has been before, but is still so much fun! He loves to pull tricks on us and he has the cutest mischevious smile and we love him! But WOW toddlers are hard!!And we have just begun!

It's a Girl Family!!

I am so lucky to have all the amazing girls in my life!!! I love each of them soo much, and can't imagine my life without them. All the girls in the family are so amazing and we have such a great time together!! There have been countless times at the dinner table when somethings happens and the girls start laughing so hard. We cry and can hardly breath!! Those are my favorite memories of us! We always try to make an effort to have girl weekends throughout the year, and they are a blast (sometimes we spend more money than we wanted, but hey our husbands don't have to know! Ha JK)I am really so thankful for everything they do for me and I feel like we have such a close bond that some families that are less fortunate don't have! Each one is there for me no matter what! Even if the car ride is long! First there is mom, and even though she was my mother when I was young, we are now such good friends!! I couldn't have a better mother, she has helped me through so much in my life from big trials to making me cuter pj's for pajama day at school, and running through a Las Vegas casino while I was puking to find a bathroom! She still loves me even though I threw up on her twice that trip!I love you Mom!! Carrie is so amazing, she gives great advice and is always willing to listen to me, or even drive across the state to help me! Ever since I was little she always included me and made lasting memories in my childhood! Love you Big Sis! Kellie, my goofy sister, the one I shared a room with for almost 10 years of my life!! Trying to sneak out of our bedroom without getting caught. She is so cool, we have a lot in common, and love doing the same things. We have had so many good memories including the time you ate it during ballroom tour and couldn't get up! I was laughing so hard I could bearly dance! Your amazing Kellie!! Trisha, I couldn't ask for a better sister-in-law! She is so sweet, and when we visit is always willing to stay up late to enjoy each other! And she has the sweetest laugh! She always looks at the brighter side of things even if its hard. I can't wait for December when you come and visit! Hey I might as well throw in the other girls! I love Taycee Joy, she has always been my buddy and still remembers the hand shake I taught her forever ago! She is so caring and such a good little helper! Talia is a doll, she is so beautiful, and loves to laugh! And I have only seen Kamryn once, but I am looking for some good memories with her, she is so beautiful! It's a long post, but I am so grateful for all of them, and the joys each one brings into my life. I don't have any good pictures of us though, because whenever the family gets together Mom takes the pictures!! This will have to do and I am looking forward to seeing you all on Thanksgiving, and we will definately have to get a girl picture, on MY camera!! Love you ALL!!

Okay so not the best picture, Hey the sun was in our eyes!!! But it's the only one with all the girls in it. (well plus Ethan & Mason's cute bum!)
